Mary Adeline "Addie" Butman was born in 1849 in Newburyport, Massachusetts. She is the daughter of John Thomas Butman and Sarah A Poole.

She married George Otis Lunt on 12 April 1868 in Rowley, Massachusetts. He was the son of Moody Lunt and Louisa M Flore. ^[1] He was a widow. His wife Julia Maria Jones died just weeks after their wedding day the previous year in the spring of 1967.
