Note N5[Our Grandparents.FTW] He was a mason by trade, living in New York City at or soon after his marriage. Between 1801 and 1815 he was living in Bergen County, NJ where he bought and sold land in what is now the Ramsey vicinity and perhaps elsewhere in the same area. In 1816 he removed to what is now Litchfield Township, Bradford County, PA, settling on what was later known as the William Tuttle Farm. He was assessed for 300 acres of unimproved land in 1817 and i8n 1823 his assessment was for 30 areas of improved land; 270 acres of unimproved land; 1 house, 1 yoke of oxen; 2 cows; 1 horse and occupation, mason, total assessed valuation 4.50; tax .13. There are no recorded deeds, Will, or mortgages for Roelof Campbell in Bradford County. He died 6 October 1869 and she died 1 August 1870. They are buries at Athens, PA. ("The Campbell Family" compiled by Harlan Rogers Campbell, 1969.) Believed to have been the maker of a family rocking chair that has been passed down to Geoffrey. His forefathers were furniture makers.
