I was born July 25th 1945 to William Charles Carrow and Elizabeth Louise Faunt in St. Francis Hospital Wilmington Delaware

Here is my mother with her Father and stepmother in a rooming house in Penns Grove NJ > When her biological mother Margaretta S. Swanson Faunt died, in 1926 she was 3 . Her father, my much loved Grandfather Edward Faunt put all 3 of his sons in St. Joseph's Home for boys in Philadelpia and took his baby girl on the road with him to build bridges in other states. It was her mother "Retta"'s dying wish.

Mrs. Lanning the wife of the rooming house owner was very kind to Mom, and we visited her later until she died. She provided her with schoolbooks and other necessities.

Depression being almost over Grandpop Ed Faunt Sr. was called back to work at the DuPont Company in South Jersey. Later that year a child care worker from St .Joseph's insisted he take his 3 sons to live with him. My mother was thrilled. She called them "My Boys".
