The Will of Thomas Cason states as follows:

In the name of god amen, August the 29th 1737 I Thomas Cason of Princess Ann County being week in body but of perfect memory thanks be to almighty god for ye same not knowing a time when I shall depart this life think fit to dispose of my worldly goods as follows: Item. I give and bequeath to my son James Cason fifty acres of land called back ridge to him and his heirs forever and also a small round table one of my large iron potts and four breeding sows all to be delivered to him at ye age of eighteen. Item, I give to my daughter Margitt Willson two shillings and six pence. Item I give to my daughter Sarah and Mary Cason five shillings a peace. I give my wife Margitt Cason five sows that run in Creed's Necks and a young horse called Ball. I give to my two daughters Elizabeth and Jane Cason ten shillings a piece and if either or both should die under age ye said money to fall to ye younger sisters. Item. I give to my two daughters Ann & Mary Cason ten shillings a piece. My desire is that my loving wife shall have ye use of my house and housed goods and a priviledge ye in the plantation during the time of her widowhood and after her marry to my son Thomas Cason my whole estate that is not above given with my land and plantation making him my son Thomas Cason my whole executor of this my last Will and Testament.

Princess Ann: At a court held ye first Feb. 1737 [sic] then ye within last will of Thomas Cason dec'd was presented in court by his executor who made oath thereto and being provide by ye oath of Elizabeth Dauge & Francis Frizel witnesses thereto is admitted to record.
