Biography

Mary was born before 1754

She Married George Key in 1782 and had four children:

Dabney Center Key, b. 1774, d. 1855 in Lawrence Co., AL

Tandy Center Key, b. 15 Sep 1776 in VA, d. 25 Sep 1838 in Russell Co., AL

Stephen Center Key, b. 1780, d. in Mississippi

Elizabeth Center Key. b. 1781

Note that all these children were born before their parents were married, and so could have been originally illegitimate, adopted, or from a previous marriage[1].

Senter-141 and Center-383 appear to represent the same person because: these are the same women same marriage date to same man. they need merged
Senter-141 and Center-32 appear to represent the same person because: Both married George Key in Virginia. Only the spelling of the last names are different. My sources indicate that 'Senter' is the correct spelling.

The only source on Ancestry regarding Stephen Key, and his marriage to Mary Elizabeth Jordan, has George Key and Nancy Edwards listed as his parents.

Since Volume 21 of the American Genealogical Biographical Index makes no reference to this individual as being Stephen's mother, this has created some confusion, and I was wondering if a link to the source could be provided. Thanks.
