Elizabeth Colebrook was born in Sussex, England about 1782. Elizabeth Colebrook was baptised at Tillington, Sussex, England on 3 April 1782, the daughter of John Colebrook an Mary Drew.[1] The sixth of nine children, she had 3 older brothers, two older sisters, and three younger brothers.
In 1851, Elizabeth Elkington (69) is recorded[4] with Bermondsey, Surrey with her children Robert Elkington (31), Alfred Elkington (29), Eliza Curtis (40), grandchildren Eliza Curtis (17), Matilda Curtis (16), Ellen Curtis (14), Louisa Curtis (13), and George Curtis (11) and a servant.
In 1861, Elizabeth Elkington (79) is recorded[5] with Bermondsey, Surrey with her children Mary Elkington (48), Eliza Curtis (51), grandchildren Eliza Curtis (27), Matilda Curtis (25), Ellen Curtis (24), Louisa Curtis (23), and George Curtis (21) and either 1 or 3 servants.
Elizabeth (Colebrook) Elkington passed away in Surrey on 30 October 1865.[6] Her death was registered in Bermondsey in the December quarter.[7] A widow, she was survived by
