I've been researching my family tree since the 1970's. The bulk of my research is on another site as is my DNA. I'm here on WikiTree to gather hints and make contributions when I can.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships by comparing test results with Lolo or other carriers of her ancestors' mitochondrial DNA. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Lolo:

Hi Lolo, I posted another comment on Philip Schiller’s profile explaining again the error. Why don’t you add to it? Hope you are well. If nothing happens I will unattached him myself. Waiting to hear from you. Annie (Karen) Schuyler

Hi Annie! I'm happy to hear from you and glad I saw your message as I don't check in on this site often. That said, I'm not here enough to have learned how to unattach people or for that matter, make any other corrections. (I know there's a link to a tutorial in the very next message, below. I've been busy with life stuff) I'll get there one day. Soon, I hope! But I'm more than happy to add comments on Phillip Shiller's profile since he ain't one of our guys. Ain't: a technical term.  :) Seriously, though, please go ahead and fix what you see are the problems. Thank you for all your hard work! You are a wealth of information and I hope one day we can chat about some Schuyler family history. - L

Hi S. Corn,

We are so pleased you decided to upgrade to the Family Member level.

Please visit our tutorial pages to learn how to use WikiTree: How To Use WikiTree. They will save you time, energy, and frustration as you add your family profiles.

Exploring the site is the best way to learn. One way to do that is to check out the drop-down menus on the top right side of your profile page. Finding a known ancestor and collaborating with the profile manager is another great way to start.

Questions? You can always use the G2G link in the Help Menu to find answers.

Hello!

At WikiTree we use our own names on our profiles or we use specific words that work with our privacy system. If you would like to "anonymize" your name, you can use Anonymous or an initial for either your first or last name, but not both, please. If your "alias" is truly a nickname, you can put that in the Preferred Name field.

Try to put as much of your real name as you feel comfortable making public. Do not use a fake name under any circumstances. See our help page on Name Displays. We are a friendly community here.

Wiki Genealogists who sign the Honor Code cannot use the Unlisted Privacy Level.

WikiTree is all about collaboration. Other WikiTree members can't collaborate with you if they can't identify you with a member name.

For more information on our Privacy Levels, click the Privacy tab on your profile or take a look at our Privacy help page.

Thanks for visiting WikiTree and be sure to ask for help if you need it!

Thank you David. I'm not seeing a way to change my member name. Should I just delete and start over?

By using the EDIT tab, you can change your first name, preferred name, etc. If your last name is incorrect, you will see a small edit next to your Last Name at birth. You would then be able to merge this profile into a new number with a different last name.
