Biography

William was born in 1871. William was the child of Charles Counts and Margaret Burns. He married Ola Ferguson and they had 11 children. 3 of those children died young within a couple years. One of those children, Tiney, died after receiving severe burns when she tried to start a fire so her Mother could feed someone, Her sister, Roxie, had died a couple months before of rheumatic fever. Molly died not long after Tiney when she caught the whooping cough. Ola's mother brought over a child that had whooping cough and Molly caught it. It was said that WC never forgave Ola for that. They all were laid to rest in the Counts Cemetery. William passed away in 1942 and was laid to rest in Counts Cemetery, Reynolds, Missouri. ^[1]
