Rex was born in 1887, the son of Charles William Croaker and Alice Jane Rex Paterson. He died in 1967.
He was a Saddler residing in Dunedoo. Enlisted at Lithgow 17 Feb 1916, assigned to 53rd Battalion 2nd Reinforcements - Reg No. 1629 - Returned on Orsova 15 Jan 1919.Sydney Morning Herald (NSW : 1842 - 1954), Friday 16 March 1917, page 9.
