Biography

From the Wesleyan Methodist Baptismal Register: Wellington Co., Nichol Twp. Sarah Ann Croft, daughter of William and Ann Croft of Eramosa Twp. born 1840-05-24 and baptized 1866-05-02. She was baptized in Fergus by Rev. G.M. Meacham.

She had a son Herbert Edward Croft born Dec. 14, 1870. His father on his marriage and death records is listed as unknown.

She was a spinster age 32 when she married a widower, John Mutrie, age 52 in 1872.

She died in April 1919 and is buried in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Wellington Centre, Wellington Co.
