Biography

The date of birth for Ben Davis vary. He was born sometime between 1868 and 1874, When Ben and Ella were married the marriage was recorded as George B Davis and Ella Holly Godwin instead of Goodwin. That is why it was almost impossible to find the record. His story is still a work in progress. I am piecing it together as I acquire it. I know he was married before Ella to a woman named Ollie Thrasher. They had one daughter Maybell Davis born about a year before his marriage to Ella. He was pretty old when he married Ollie and Ella. Its entirely possible that there are earlier marriages and other children in Bens story. {I'm looking}.
