Melvin Elwood DeHaven and his twin sister Melva Ellsworth DeHaven were born on 25 Aug 1917 in Pennsylvania. They were the ninth and tenth of eleven children born to Albert Clarence DeHaven (1876–1945) and Harriet Jennie Mensch (1885–1939).[1] Rev. H. R. Wilkes baptized Melvin on 13 Feb 1918 at his parents' home on Brittain Street, Berwick, Columbia County, Pennsylvania. [2]
Melvin died on 25 Mar 1918 in Berwick, Columbia, Pennsylvania, aged 7 months. The cause of death was convulsions, with a contributory cause of acute bronchitis. He was buried on 27 Mar 1918 in Roselawn Cemetery, Berwick, Columbia County, Pennsylvania.[3] [1]
