John Beamish Dossetor was born on 19 July 1925 in Bangalore, Karnātaka, India, the son of Jessie Teulon (Beamish) Dossetor and Francis Ernest Dossetor.[1]
He married Margaret Mary Conlan in 1957 in New York City, United States.[1] They had four children.[1]
A physician and bioethicist known for co-coordinating the first kidney transplant in Canada and the Commonwealth, he was made an Officer of the Order of Canada in 1994.[2]
John died on 6 April 2020 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.[1][3]
