If the message contains anything sensitive, a private message to the Profile Manager would be appropriate, in this case your comment was fine as nothing sensitive.
If you want to get the Profile Manager to do something, posting a comment on the profile will send them an email. In this case I got notified because one of the managers on this profile is the Netherlands Project and I'm a coordinator for the Netherlands Project.
Sometimes it is worth checking to see if any of the profile managers on a profile are still active (usually the Project should be).
If the profile managers are not active or no profile manager, or you don't get a response, and you want something done sooner, then I would suggest posting on G2G and you then add the WikiTree ID where it says "WikiTree ID/URL if this relates to a person or free-space profile:" That way it creates a link from G2G to the profile, and from the profile back to the G2G post. You need to add the appropriate tags (e.g. country or other topics), this will then appear in the feed for people following those tags. That way it will gain wider attention.
