Sake Eelkes / Eelties of Oenkerk married Jetske Sijes of Oenkerk on Jan 6 1743 in Oenkerk. Children: Eelke (July 30 1750), Klaaske (May 1 1752), Grietje (Aug 9 1754), Hinke (Oct 20 1756), Jeltje (Dec 8 1758), Trijntje (March 23 1761). The children were all born in Roodkerk.
Sake moved to Oenkerk before he was married. He is listed in 1744 as living in Oenkerk, with 2 people in his household. He then moved to Roodkerk by 1749. He was a farmer. They made profession of faith in the Roodkerk Reformed Church in 1758, and they appear on the membership list there in 1764 and 1772. He is called "een redelijk welgesteld boer" (a fairly well-to-do farmer). He was curator of Janneke Gerrijts the daughter of Gerrit Dirks and Margaretha Sytses in 1762, and inherited part of the estate of Jetse Sakes in 1776. In 1782 he became the curator of the children of his wife's sister Trijntje's children.
