John C drowned in a fit in Oct 1889
"Lpool Advance Oct 30 1889: Drowining Accident: John C Wynot, son of Simon Wynot, a man living at the upper part of the town, was drowned on Saturday afternoon last.
He had been for some years subject to fits, and had been in the habit, when he felt them coming on, of going down to a neighboring brook as usual accompanied by a young lad of about seven years of age.
In the act of bathing his head Wynot fell forward into the water, there but a few inches deep.
The child being unable to help him, ran back to the house and gave the alarm, but when help arrived the unfortunate man was dead.
An inquest was held before Coroner Campbell, and a verdict rendered in accordance with the facts." [4]
