Henry was described as a gentle old man and that he would in his senility, get out of the house and walk up and down the hollow and find a porch that suited him. When it was realized he was out and about they would call up and down the hollow for him. Henry was usually sitting on some families front porch. (Most everyone on the hollow was kin of some sort.)[7]
Death
Henry died 17 Oct 1946 in Hartley, Pike County, Kentucky. The cause of death is listed a cerebral hemorrhage brought on by senility.[1][8]

Research Note
There is a variance in birth dates, most of the Census records for Henry say he was born in 1854. His death certificate and memorial stone say that he was born 18 Feburary 1853, this makes an 8 month difference between Henry's and his brother Bradley's birth. I have not yet come accross the actual birthdate of 18 Jul 1854. I have not changed it to 18 Feb 1853 because of the close proximity of the two births .
