William married Mary Martin, daughter of David Martin and Mary Brown, on November 23, 1898 in Scarborough, York, Ontario. William was a farmer and Mary was a farmer's daughter. [4]
On January 9, 1900, William and Mary's son, George Martin Fitzpatrick, was born. [5] On May 10, 1904, their daughter, Mary Margaret Fitzpatrick, was born. [6]
William died at the age of 71 on January 17, 1936 in Wexford, York, Ontario of bronchial pneumonia and other contributing medical conditions. He was buried in Zion-Wexford Cemetery, Scarborough, Toronto, Ontario. [7][8]
