FREW-BIRKETT. - St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Ballarat, was the setting for a pretty wedding on November 5, when the marriage of Edna Mary, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Birkett, of Pootilla, to Colin Edgar, younger son of Mrs. T. J. Frew and the late Mr. Thomas Frew, of Dooen North, was celebrated. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Dr. Button. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a close fitting gown of magnolia satin, with a long train. ... Mr. and Mrs. E. Frew have made their home at Balmoral. ^[3]

Colin passed away in 1979, aged 65 years. His death was registered Horsham, Victoria, giving it as his birthplace, and naming his parents as Thomas jackson Frew and Emma Andersides. ^[4]
