Biography
Marie dite Guegane was born on 12 Jan1820 and baptized the following day on the 13th in Rustico. Marie dite Guegane is the child of Amable dit Gourdelle Gallant and Gertrude LeBrun.
Marie married widower Charles Gallant, son of Charles Gallant and Francoise Blanchard, on 13 May 1839 in St-Augustin, Rustico.[1]
Charles' first wife was Charlotte Gallant, daughter of Hilaire Gallant and Anne dite Dindo Doucet, about 1835. They had one child together, a daughter named Marguerite, born about 1837, married to Jacques dit Big Jim Gallant on 24 Nov 1868. Charlotte Gallant died on 7 Jun 1838 and buried the following day on the 8th in Rustico,PEI.
Charles remarried to Marie dite Guegane Gallant on 13 May 1839 in St-Augustin, Rustico, PEI.
