Biography
Beatrix Gijsbertsdr Gijsbertsz was born about 1655 in Doorn, Utrecht, Nederland, daughter of Gijsbert Cornelisz (~1625–1665) and Beatrix Tijmensz (~1625–<1680).
Beatrix (24) married Jan Cornelisse van Velpen (24) (born about 1655; son of Cornelis Jansz van Velpen) on March 7, 1680 in Doorn[1]. Their son was Cornelis Jansz van Velpen (<1688–<1754).
On July 15, 1680 she and her brother Wulphert Gijsbertsz Spijckhorst thank their uncle Gerrit Tijmensz for managing their inheritance from their parents Gijsbert Cornelisz and Beatrix Tijmensz. As they now had become of age and had married they take possession themselves. [2]
The heirs sell on August 8, 1680 their parents farm "in den Gerechte van Doorn op het Tuyll" with 32 morgen of land to her husband Cornelis. [3] Beatrix died after March 6, 1711 in Doorn, aged about 55, as at that date she is present at the reading of the will of her parents-in-law. [4]
