Mary was born in December 1855 in Massachusetts.^[1]

When Mary was about 26 she married Ira H Gonyon in 1880. The couple had 3 children: Ernest Webb Gonyon, Henry Ira Gonyon and Harvey L Gonyon.^[1]

In the 1900 census Mary (age 46) was living in Milwaukee Ward 8, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA. Marital Status: Married. Relation to Head of House: Wife.^[1]
