Biography

Hosea Grant was born in 1789 at Stonington Connecticut, the fifth child of Oliver Grant and Hannah Fanning.

He married about 1809 in New London County, Connecticut, Betsey Jacques.

Hosea Wheeler was a corporal in the Connecticut militia in 1813; private in 1814.

This family resided initially at North Stonington, then removed to Ithaca, New York. They had 4 or 5 daughters.

Hosea Grant died about 1862 of '63 at Ithaca, New York.
