Alfred was born in 1889. He was the son of Alfred Green and Charlotte Bass.
He emigrated from England to the United States in 1898. His father was a Master Mariner.
Alfred lived with his parents and siblings in Vashon Island and Tacoma, Washington. He was educated at Vashon Military College.
His mother died in 1909.
He married Beatrice (surname unknown). They had two children.
Jottings from a Cruise, edited by Alan, was published in 1944. The subject matter is taken from letters written home by Alan’s father, Captain Alfred John Green.
He was drafted into both the 1st and the 2nd World Wars.
He died in 1954 at the age of 65. Cause of death: Coronary Occlusion[2]
