Note

Peter Good came to America on the ship Molly, arriving Sept. 30, 1727. He had 4 wives and eight children. His two oldest children immigrated on August 11, 1732, on the ship Samuel. The third fourth, and fifth children probably came in 1727 with their father and his second wife. His will was probated 23 Dec 1754. The will was witnessed by his 3 older sons, his oldest daughter's husband, and __Graff. (Perhaps his 3rd wife's father.) Lancaster Court House Deed B-581, GG 293, 1. Anna m John Musselman 6-409 1812 2. Jacob m Susannah Scherer 7-11 1813 3. Christian m Magdalena 12-432 4. Mary 5. Barbara m Christian Shantz 6. Susanna 7. Peter 8. Henry 9. Barbara 10. Margaret m John Stouffer (Judy Garber 170 Miller, Mill Valley CA 1978) (I believe that children 9 and 10 were children of Fronica Heistand, the 4th wife, but not of Peter Good, since his will states that he and his wife begat one son and then he names the children from his first 3 wives, not naming wives, but naming female children.) The will states: "my heirs . . .from the first wife which is Anna, Jacob, and Christian . . ."

Gut-98 and Gut-81 appear to represent the same person because: Same dates and similar locations. a match
posted by Logan Gavin
Gut-98 and Gut-81 do not represent the same person because: These are two different Peter Gut (Good)s who emigrated to Lancaster Co from different places and lived there at the same time. One was in Martic Township and he is buried there; the other one (mine) lived in Brecknock Township, and is buried there. This Peter came from Immalhousen and had 3 wives and children with each.

Gut-98 and Gut-81 do not represent the same person because: Two separate people - one direct from Switzerland, one from Switzerland to Germany first. Lived in different parts of Lancaster Co, had different wives, different children, different burial spots!

Do not merge

They were born in different places in different years. They were married to different women. Do not merge. Ancestry is not a reliable source: I would go to the originals when they are provided (PA Supreme Court, Passenger and immigration lists, etc)
