Organized about 1745 by the Lutherans, One should not confuse this church with the Blue Mountain Church located about 5 miles northwest, also located along the Northkill stream, and sometimes referred to as the Northkill Church. It is also easy to confuse Northkill Church with Little Tulpehocken about a mile and half to the southwest. John Caspar Stoever may have included some pastoral acts done at Northkill in his records, but Nicholas Kurtz came there December 1746 and was their regular pastor after July 1747. Northkill is the name of a creek and a church located in Berks County (beginning in 1752 when Berks was created from Lancaster). Since the baptism occurred in 1757, presumably at Northkill church, I suggest changing the birth location back to Berks County.

Actually, there are two churches sometimes called Northkill, and both lie in Berks County. Since the Baptism was in 1757 by Rev. Stoever, the correct location of the baptism must be Northkill Blue Mountain.

Haag-838 and Haag-525 appear to represent the same person because: Same person. She was one of the Tulpehocken Germans who migrated to Miamisburg Ohio.
