Emelie (Hanks) Melancon is a descendant of an Acadian
Emelie Hanks, daughter of "Clifford" Hanks and Valentine Benoit, was born in April of 1892 in Rayne, Louisiana.[1] In 1900 she lived with her parents and siblings in Acadia Parish.[2]
She died in Rayne, Louisiana in 1973.[3]
