John Heeney was born in 1826 in Dublin, Ireland, the son of Mary Frayne and John Heaney.[citation needed]
He was a tailor.[1]
He married Lucy Quigley in 1851 in Dublin.[citation needed] Their children were:
They emigrated to Australia in 1863 on the "Maryborough".[4]
John died on 28 June 1894 in Northcote, Victoria, aged 68 years.[5] His remains were interred on 30 June 1894 at the Melbourne General Cemetery in Carlton, Victoria.[1]
