Biography

The 1850 U.S. Census recorded David Himes, age 44 and a carpenter, in Caernarvon Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania, with Elizabeth Himes, 45, and children Margarett Himes, 17, Henry Himes, 15, Phebe Ann Himes, 14, Lydia A Himes, 4, and Elizabeth Himes, 1. All were born in Pennsylvania.[1]

The 1860 U.S. Census recorded David Himes, age 53 and a carpenter, in Caernarvon Township, Berks County, with Elizabeth Himes, 56, Henry Himes, 24 and also a carpenter, Lydia Himes, 14, and Elizabeth Himes, 10. David Himes had $900 of real estate and $300 personal estate.[2][3]
