"Samuel Hoadley (William1), born —; died 8 February 1714 in Branford, Conn.; married 6 March 1689 in Branford, ABIGAIL FARRINGTON, daughter of John and Mary (Bullard) Farrington, born 30 April 1668 in Dedham, Mass., died 26 February 1745 in Branford.
Samuel Hoadley is first mentioned in Branford records April 24, 1683, when he was chosen one of haywards of general field. On March 4, 1687, he and others were granted a parcel of land one mile square in the western and northwesterly part of Branford, and he become one of its first settlers. He lived at Hopyard Plain, called also Hoppit and Hoppin Plain, and was killed under a hay mow. His inventory dated December 16, 1714, amounted to £1087. His ear mark was a crop on the top of the right ear and a half penny on the under side of the left ear."[1]

She married SAMUEL HOADLEY 06 Mar 1689 in Branford, Connecticut, son of WILLIAM HOADLEY and UNKNOWN. He was born Abt. 1666 in Branford, Connecticut, and died 08 Feb 1714 in Branford, Connecticut.[2]
