Biography

When Samuel was about 25 he married Elizabeth Oldfield on 1 January 1857 in Richland, Ohio, USA. The couple had 2 children: Elizabeth Ellen Hoff and Ida Hoff.[1][2]

In the 1860 census Samuel (age about 28) was living in Troy, Lexington, Richland, Ohio, USA.[3]

In the 1880 census Samuel (age about 48) was living in Wayne, Kosciusko, Indiana, USA.[4]
