The birth year is an estimate from the 1860 census. If true, Elizabeth was the last child born in Franklin Co, GA, to Isaac and Dorcas Hollingsworth before the family left GA for MS in the fall of 1810. (Seven more children were born during and after the move).
Elizabeth never wed [1]. She first appears (by name) in the public record on the 1850 census for Newton Co, MS. She lived with an unrelated boarder (Margaret Dallas) in her own home adjacent to that of her father Isaac (who lived alone on his farm). The 1850 census lists no occupation for her.
In the 1860 census for Newton Co, MS, she is living with her father on his farm. She was apparently caring for him in his old age (then 81).
Various genealogy sources list her death on 3 DEC 1878 in Newton Co, MS, but without proof.
