This is researching my father's line. My grandfather's family moved to Beverly Massachusetts from East Bridgewater around 1906. He met and married my grandmother, (Agatha?) Kathleen Redmond who was a kitchen servant (kitchen canary) in a wealthy household in Beverly Farms. She was and remained a Canadian citizen all of her life. The Redmonds hailed from the Moncton area of New Brunswick in a little fishing village called Loggieville on the Miramichi river. I am told that at least one of my great uncles caught salmon in traps on the river. My grandmother's maiden name was Honora Carroll.

Please consider joining the Holmes Name Study and contributing to our project with your Holmes lineage. Also, if you are interested in discovering information about your deep Holmes ancestry then please consider testing the y-chromosome of a living male Holmes through a y-dna test. This will determine the paternal or father's father's haplogroup and provide an opportunity to discover your paternal ancestral migration and ancestral origins. I recommend FamilyTreeDNA as I have been satisfied with their services.

Thanks, Ryan Holmes

Hello Thomas - thank you for your message - I would be happy to help you merge to the tree I've started on your Redmond family. I can pass the manager role to you for your close relatives.
