In 1816, Governor Lord Charles Somerset set up a system of Slave Registers by District[1].

This Adriaan Martinus seems the best age match for the younger "Adriaan Marthinus Horak, Jan's son", who registered one single slave in 1825. This was in the District of Graaff Reinet, Ledger H, Folder 59[2]:

1825-01-18, August of Bengal, ~58y 3m, est birth 1766-09-18, Labourer, 1827-07-16 sold to Marcus Albertus Venter Paul's son, Graaff Reinet V73[3]
