Nathaniel Humphrey was born on 20 May 1735 in Simsbury, Hartford, Connecticut. He died on 18 Apr 1822 in Simsbury, Hartford, Connecticut. Nathaniel married Maria Humphrey on 2 Jan 1755 in Simsbury. He also married a Lucy Moses about 1758.
He served in the Revolutionary War from 1 May 1775 to 20 Dec 1775. During that time, he marched 3 weeks after Lex. Alarm to Boston. At Roxbury during siege of Boston. Fought at Bunker Hill. Served In 7th Co., Capt. Abel Pettibone, 2nd Regt., Gen'l Spencer, Commanding. He served as a 1st Lieutenant in Col. Wyllys' Regiment, 22nd Continentals in 1777. [1]
