The widowed Hulda is living in Scott County, Illinois in 1850 with several of her children and a Margaret Hunnicutt, 66, white, born in Virginia, who might be her mother or aunt; also in the household is a William Owings, 3, white, Illinois, and a Montillion Dowdy (?), 21, white, born Illinois.
Between 1860 and 1880 Hulda moved to Texas; in 1880 she's living in Dallas with her sister Patience (Hunnicutt) Ford.[1]
Hulda is named in her son James Jasper's death certificate.[2]
