Biography

MARY (IDE) FULLER, born at Rehoboth 10 Dec. 1649, died at Rehoboth 25 Mar 1718, daughter of NICHOLAS and MARTHA (BLISS) IDE, and WIDOW of Capt. SAMUEL FULLER, who was killed by the Indians and buried at Rehoboth 15 Aug. 1676.

Capt. Fuller's son, and only child, SAMUEL JR., was born 25 Nov. 1676, three months and ten days after his father's burial. Capt. Fuller's mother, SARAH (BOWEN) FULLER, daughter of RICHARD BOWEN, was killed by the Indians and buried at Rehoboth 14 Oct. 1676; his brother, JOHN FULLER, was killed by the Indians and buried at Rehoboth 23 Aug. 1676. Four months and seven days later, 30 Dec. 1676, JOHN's son ABIELL was born at Rehoboth.

MARY (IDE) FULLER married John Redway, house carpenter, at Rehoboth, 27 Dec. 1677, as her second husband. John Redway, born at Rehoboth 10 Dec 1644, died intestate at Rehoboth 26 Mar. 1718.

JOHN REDWAY and his wife, MARY, died at Rehoboth on the 26th and 25th of March 1718, respectively, probably of smallpox, in a heretofore unnoticed epidemic that swept through Rehoboth at this time, taking a toll of fourteen lives in the single month of March 1717/18[1]

Ide-51 and Iyde-8 appear to represent the same person because: Similar name, similar husbands

We also need to remove Mary Ide as the mother of any children of the improper husband.
It seems to make sense to proceed with the merge going from Ide-51 into Unknown-94939 and not carrying forward Nicholas Ide as father or the Ide name. Since this Samuel did not marry Mary Ide, but Mary is shown as the mother of his child, we can correctly align the family by carefully processing this merge and the other iterations of Mary. To leave them all hanging is to continue the chaos

UNKNOWN-94939 and Iyde-8 do not represent the same person because: As per the vital records of Rehoboth, MA and the Fuller genealogy, Mary Ide was not the wife of this Samuel Fuller. Unfortunately several WikiTree Samuel Fullers were merged together., so Mary looks like the wife of one of the Mayflower Fullers.
UNKNOWN-94939 and Ide-51 are not ready to be merged because: NO PRIMARY SOURCES HAVE BEEN CITED IN THE PROFILES. There is an outstanding g2g question. Some of the secondary sources, including books by the Mayflower Society and the Great Migration Begins Series show that the wife of Samuel Fuller is Unknown. A primary source shows that Samuel married Mary Ide just before his death. NO PRIMARY SOURCES HAVE BEEN CITED IN THE PROFILES. There is an outstanding g2g question. Some of the secondary sources, including books by the Mayflower Society and the Great Migration Begins Series show that the wife of Samuel Fuller is Unknown. A primary source shows that Samuel married Mary Ide just before his death. several of his children were born before this time. I think that the merges should be rejected because Mary Ide has to be different from Mary Unknown.
