Hindrick was born August 26, 1763, at Rågåkra in the parish of Hejde, as the son of Jacob Hindriksson and his wife Margaretha Olofsdotter. He was christened September 4, and his godparents were the sheriff Jonas Ståhlman, olof Rågåkra, Jöns Mölner, Stina Skog, Mallena Qvie and Cecilia Hums.[1]
November 2, 1790, Hindrick Jacobsson married Engela Cathartina, aka Engla Caisa, Claesdotter from Valla in the parish of Klinte.[2] She moved in with him and his parents and their five first children were born there before they moved to her childhood home Lilla Valla.[3] The couple exchanged a part of his inheritance at Rågåkra for a larger part in the estate of Lilla Valla than what she would inherit. All in all, they owned 17/24 parts mantal.[4] Three more children were born there before Hindrick died in 1819.[5]
He passed away of fever in his chest, June 4, 1819. He was buried June 10. [6]
