Silas Boggs married Rachel James on January 23, 1829 in Braxton County, Virginia, United States. [1]
Marriage Bond of Silas Boggs and Rachel James |
The bond was co signed by Andrew Frame. According to one archivist at the West Virginia Division of Culture and History it was normal for a family member of the Bride to co-sign the Bond. So could Rachel actually be a Frame and not James ?
Abigail (Riggs) James and her children came to live on Peters Creek in Nicholas County, Virginia, now West Virginia. They lived there for awhile before Continues settling in Braxton County. It is not known if Isaac left Bath County with his family. Isaac and family were listed in the 1810 Bath County census. Abigail and her children were listed on the 1818/1820 Nicholas County census. According to the Nicholas County court records, Abigail was a widow before 1818."
