Francis (Frank, Franz) Hans Johnston was a Canadian artist associated with the Group of Seven. [1][2]
Born in Toronto in 1888, he was the son of Hans Hamilton Johnston and Elizabeth Roderick.[3] In 1910 he married Florence M.J. Jamieson.[4] Their daughter Frances was born later that year.[5]
He died in 1949 and was buried at the McMichael Canadian Art Collection Burial Grounds, Kleinburg, Ontario.[6]
