Margaretha (Kaiser) Fox was a Volga German.

Margaretha (Kaiser) Fox has German Roots.

Margaretha Kaiser was born in 1882 in Grimm, Russia, to parents Johann Jakob Kaiser and Anna Elisabeth Wittmann. According to the 1920 census, she immigrated to the United States in 1905. She married Nathan Henry Fuchs/Fox in Russia and her two oldest children were born there: Anna and Henry. The last name Fuchs was changed to Fox by many Fuchs family members because of the negative association with the original spelling. Of the documentation found about Margaretha after her marriage, the most recent records refer to her as Margaret Fox, while the earlier records called her Margaret Fuchs.
