CORNISH— KEEVERS At the Methodist Church, Coramba, 26th Jan. the marriage of Mr William H. Cornish (fourth son of Mr and Mrs S. Cornish, Mount Brown) and Miss Louisa Anastasia Keevers (eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs Harry Keevers, Riverview, Coramba) was celebrated, the church being prettily decorated for the occasion. On the bride entering the church on the arm of her father, the choir sang the hymn, "The Voice that Breathed o'er Eden," Mrs Reed presiding at the organ. The bride wore a handsome dress of ivory crepe satin and court train, trimmed with shadow lace and pearls, and wore a coronet of orange blossoms over a silk veil. The bride was attended by her sister (Miss Geraldine Keevers), Miss A. Woods, and Miss S. Cornish (sister of the bridegroom), who all looked charming in cream silk and shadow lace, with touches of pink, mob caps, and bebe roses. The bride and her maids carried bouquets of white flowers and asparagus ferns, and wore gold brooches, the gift of the bridegroom. Mr Art. Keevers was best man, and Mr W.F. Fisher, groomsman. The breakfast was held at "Riverview." The happy couple left for the Clarence, the bride travelling in a dress of blue silk crepe, with hat to match. 1916 Family Notices, Coffs Harbour Advocate (NSW : 1907 - 1942; 1946 - 1954), 2 February, p. 3. viewed 25 Oct 2018, http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article188563152
