Paul Kester was born 1760 in Hunterdon, New Jersey Colony. He is the son of William Kester Sr. and Elizabeth Kester. ^{[1] [2] [3] [4]}

Paul married, 1785 in Ohio, to Ruhama Bonham. ^{[1] [2] [3] [4]}

He served in the War of 1812, he was in Lanier's Independent Battalion of the Ohio Militia (Preble County, Ohio). He was mustered in 11 March 1813.

Paul was killed on his way home from battle, he died 10 April 1814 in Preble, Ohio. ^{[1] [2] [3] [4] [5]}
