Hester (Jonker) Pieterse
Doors was wounded in the Anglo-Boer war on 28/11/1899 at Rosmead drift Modderrivier. He was taken to Kimberley hospital by British and 10 of 11 bullets removed from his leg. This leg gave him problems until his death, His sister Annie (Anna Magdalena looked after his wife Mieta (Maria Elizabeth) and her own 3 sons with an old black man Hendrik. The British could never catch them because Annie and Hendrik were too clever and alert.
