Jane Caroline Knowles is the daughter of Burton Knowles (1803-1887) and Nancy (Scott) Knowles and was born on 20 Jan 1834 in Gibson County, Indiana, United States^[1][2].

Jane married Albert Roher in 1855 according to the 1900 census ^[3]. Jane and Albert had three children ^[4]. Their youngest child died young and does not appear on any census report although there is a cemetery record.
