Jasper can be found in the home of his parents at the time the 1850 census was taken in Jackson County. [3] The family was located in the newly created Putnam County when the 1860 census was taken. [4]
About the year 1865, he married Annie Matheny, probably in Putnam County, Tennessee. [5] They can be found in District 9, Putnam County, Tennessee census records for the year 1870. [6] On 7 March 1871, Noah Kuykendall made a deed of gift to his son Jasper J for a 64 acre parcel of land in District 1, Putnam County, Tennessee, lying adjacent to Noah's home tract. [7] Jasper and his family are enumerated in District 1, Putnam County at the time the 1880 census was taken. [8] Jasper and Annie were still living in District 1 when the 1900 census was taken. [9] At the time of the 1910 census Jasper and Annie were listed in District 15 of Putnam County. [10] When the 1920 census was taken, Jasper, now widowed is listed in District 15 of Putnam County. Although his entry shows that he owns his home, the entry taker records him as a boarder in the home of Phillip Hutcheson. [11]
