Biography

Jean Baptiste (Lacharité) Lamprond dit Lacharité is one of twins.

Honoré Jean Baptiste and his twin brother, André Amable, were born 8 Aug 1760 and baptized two days later in St-Joseph de Maskinongé. Parents were Jean Baptiste Lacharité and Françoise Labrèche. Godparents for Honoré Jean Baptiste were Sieur Jean Carufel Ecuyer (likely Jean Sicard de Carufel and Dame Angélique de Villiers wife of Mr de Falaise, Capitaine de la colonie. Godparents for André Amable were François Lussier and Geneviève Arsenau. Both godmothers sign the register. ^{[1] [2]}

On 16 Aug 1791, in St-Joseph de Maskinongé, Honoré Lampron dit Lacharité son of the late Jean Baptiste Lampron dit Lacharité and Françoise Déziel dite Labrèche married Marie Josephe Vanasse dite Vertefeuille daughter of Nicolas Vanasse dit Vertefeuille and the late Marie Anne Dérosier. Witnesses were Vital Lussier and Amable Lemyre, no signatures. ^[3]

On 13 Nov 1809, in St-Joseph de Maskinongé, Jean Lampron dit Lacharité widower of Josephte Vanasse married Marguerite Doucet adult daughter of Charles Doucette and Marguerite Landry. Witnesses include the groom's brother, Alexis Lampron dit Lacharité, and the bride's father, one signature, Michel Doucet, possibly the bride's father or a brother. ^[4]

Jean Baptiste Lamprond dit Lacharité, 65 year old husband of Marguerite Doucet, died 9 Oct 1825. He was buried 2 days later in St-Joseph de Maskinongé cemetery. ^[5]
