Biography

Mary Ladd was born on February 6, 1720 in Tolland, Hartford County, Connecticut Colony to parents Jonathan Ladd and Susannah Kingsbury.[1][2][3]

"Jonathan [Grant], of Windsor, m[arried] Mary Ladd, of Tolland, July 9, 1741" in Windsor, Hartford County, Connecticut.[4] They had nine children during the timespan through June 1762, all born at Ellington, Tolland County, Connecticut.

  1. Mary Grant was born on June 23, 1742.[5]
  2. Susannah Grant was born on September 5, 1744.[6]
  3. Phebe Grant was born on March 15, 1747. She did not marry or have children.[7]
  4. Rhoda Grant was born about March 15, 1749.[8]
  5. Katurah Grant was born on January 2, 1752. He did not marry or have children.[9]
  6. Prudence Grant was born on September 15, 1754.[10]
  7. Grace Grant was born on September 27, 1756.[11]
  8. Anna Grant was born about 1759.
  9. Rachel Grant was born on June 20, 1762.[12]

Her husband died on December 2, 1797.[13]

Mary (Ladd) Grant passed away on May 27, 1811 in Ellington, Tolland County, Connecticut. She is buried in th Ellington Center Cemetery.[14]
