Angelique (referred to as Angelique Banliac) married Joseph Plante on 25 Nov 1792 at Louiseville (Saint-Antoine-de-la-Rivière-du-Loup), in what was then the Province of Lower Canada (Bas-Canada).[2][3][4]
Angelique and Joseph had at least fourteen children together from 1783 through 1803, ten of whom are know to have married between 1807 and 1822 (including four daughters and six sons).[4]
Angelique died on 26 Oct 1809, at age 48, and was buried at the church of La Visitation de l'Île-Dupas, Lower Canada (Bas-Canada). She was survived by her husband Joseph and numerous children.[2][4]
Research Notes
Note regarding family names used:
Angelique's baptismal record used only "dit" names, i.e. Lamontagne for Angelique and her father, and Boynoyer for her mother.[1] Angelique's marriage record used their historic family names only: Banliac for Angelique and her father, and Lemaitre for her mother. [3] Banliac may have sometimes appeared as Baillac, or Badayac. [4] In accordance with Québecois Project guidelines, Angelique's last name at birth (LNAB) is recorded as Lamontagne; and Banliac dite Lamontagne and Baillac are referred to in other names.
