Captain Daniel Langdon I served with 15th Regiment, Connecticut Militia during the American Revolution.

Daniel was born in 1728. He died in 1812 at the age of 83.

Parents: Joseph Langdon 1688 - 1749 and Rachel (Cowles) Langdon 1685 - 1751.

Spouse: Phebe (Clark) Langdon 1737 - 1822. They were married 3/31/1755 in Southington, Hartford, Connecticut. Per Ecclesiacal and Other Sketches of Southington, Connecticut. By Heman Rowlee Timlow. Chapter XVI. Page 208. (also lists his birth, children) Findagrave #68197968

Daniel was a Captain in the Connecticut Militia. He commanded a company which turned out to repel the enemy at New Haven in 1779. Per D.A.R. Lineage Books.

Connecticut Men in the Revolutionary War. Page 549 lists Daniel as Captain, Connnecticut Militia. Page 625 lists Capt. Daniel Lankton. 15th Connecticut Militia Regiment.[1]

Research Notes

His name switched back and forth between Langton and Langdon over the years. Specifically, note the death record uses Langdon and his headstone shows Langton.

I do not think Simeon linked on here is their child. I think he possibly belongs to Parents: Hezekiah Root 1747 - 1808 and Mary (Barnes) Andrus 1756 - . 10/31/21 sent a message to his record owner. Findagrave #65518845. 1/2/21 Removed Simeon as a child. Did not hear from record owner.
